On 1st and 2nd april 2009 CID presented exciting solutions for the today’s online marketing at the exhibition for digital Marketing, the Swiss Online Marketing, in Zurich.

The spreading and using of the internet are huge - and it will increase furthermore; especially through mobile devices and the migration of video and audio content to web media. Also for advertisers the WWW will come to the fore as cost-efficient advertising tactic. But how is it possible for web portals to target their customers and readers in today’s information overflow with the right content, at the right time, in the right environment?

The answer to this question was given by the presentation of CID. The Semantic Web - which is also called Web 3.0 – is in the starting blocks and it will remarkably increase the visualization and utilization of information on portals. By semantic targeting, algorithms and natural language processing IT-systems could identify significant connections between content and could generate recommendations. In this way content, advertisement and user targeting will be improved considerably and new business models will be developed.

Besides the exciting speeches, we had illuminative conversations and made interesting contacts. The 1.148 visitors read up on current trends and solutions, and participated in networking and exchanging information.
