Strategic co-operation between Tieto Media Solutions and CID GmbH
With the target to cooperate in Germany, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Tieto Media Solutions and CID have agreed a strategic co-operation for media, finance and trading. Based on the products myLOBster MEDIA (CID) and TRIP (Tieto) first common developments are taken up.
For our customers advantages in two areas will result. On the one hand manual activities of the archiving process are supported by automated processes; on the other hand results of queries are improved qualitatively. The product TRIP offers a highly efficient multimedia archive and a retrieval infrastructure with integrated search engine technology as well as a software development kit for the creation of very modern archiving and search applications. In synergy with the myLOBster MEDIA solution, indexed or stored content of TRIP are enriched with metadata automatically and content is linked based on semantic processes. This way archive queries in form of a search will be answered more comprehensively. The researching user gets thematically fitting articles as search result and a wider overview of existing assets.
The combination of TRIP and myLOBster MEDIA is a milestone as production environment with regard to different forms of search-based multimedia applications: Process and historiography systems, media archives, library systems, patent administration systems as well as video, photo and media object storage and last but not least portal systems with functionally absolutely new features have to be emphasized.
