„CID Baltic” – one of the most advanced knowledge economy companies in Lithuania
President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė awarded the most advanced Lithuanian enterprises in the knowledge economy on October 28th. JSC „CID Baltic” participated in the competition „Knowledge Economy Company 2009”, got to the finals and became one of 14th the most advanced Lithuanian enterprises. More than 1500 companies were invited to apply for this award.
„The fact that we access to the finals and joined the one hand with large and well-known Lithuanian enterprises is a serious estimation of our company. This estimation shows that our work renders the right direction. We are trying to resist the time and to give a competitive advantage to our customers by creating innovative business management solutions. Positive customers’ ratings give us a strong impulse to find new solutions and to resist the economic crisis. We hope that semantic solutions created by us will be successful and next year we can also claim to get the award of the knowledge economy company”, − said Aidas Kavaliauskas, Managing Director of the JSC „CID Baltic“, member of the international group of companies CID.
14 companies compete in the last stage: JSC „CID Baltic“, JSC „Baltic Amadeus infrastruktūros paslaugos“, JSC „Exigen Services Lietuva“, the business and legal consulting company „JURIDICON”, JSC „Laboratorinių tyrimų centras”, AB „Lifosa“, ŽŪB „Nematekas“, AB „Panevėžio energija“, JSC „Precizika Metrology“, JSC „Rifas“, JSC „Sicor Biotech“, JSC „Traidenis“, JSC „Tarptautinė teisės ir verslo aukštoji mokykla“, AB „Žemaitijos pienas“.
„By given these awards we aim to demonstrate that the new knowledge and the ability to use them is the success of the enterprise, the guarantee of progress. This truth is particularly evident in economically difficult times − the awarded companies successfully expands in their area even during global economic crisis“, − said Kęstutis Jasiūnas, Knowledge Economy Forum of the Council and the Organizing Committee.
JSC „Sicor Biotech“ was recognized as the best high-tech company for a unique product development, rapid expansion in Europe and a model of scientific and business cooperation. The award of „Knowledge Economy Company 2009” was also given to JSC „Traidenis“. This company was evaluated for the implementation of innovative solutions to traditional industries and for the development in Eastern and Central Europe. JSC „Baltic Amadeus infrastruktūros pasaugos“ was awarded as the most progressive service sector company for development and implementation of new service in the Lithuanian market.
Nearly 20 companies, established since 2004, competed in the most successful young high-tech business awards this year. The prize went to company „Teravil“, which develops unique terahertz radiation technology.
„Lithuania has the potential to develop and deploy advanced technologies. Achievements of young companies is a great example of how, even in the absence of significant resources or support, can be develop high-tech business prospects. Our goal is to encourage the business community to share experiences and to become inspirers of courageous initiatives“, – said Edgar Leichtle, Director of Association „Knowledge Economy Forum”.
